(March 5, 2020). The Library Corporation announced that OWLSnet, a public library consortium consisting of 29 libraries with 49 locations across two library systems in Northeast Wisconsin, has joined the CARL•X family.

DSpace 7.0 Beta 1 now available

(March 5, 2020). Version 7.0 Beta 1 of DSpace, one of the leading open source repositories used in more than 2500 installations globally, is now available for download and testing. Beta 1 is the first of several scheduled Beta releases provided for community feedback and to introduce the new features of the 7.0 platform. This new release is thanks to the work of The DSpace Leadership Group, the DSpace Committers and LYRASIS, the DSpace Organizational Home.

Four major public universities in Valencia sign a joint contract with Ex Libris to modernize their library systems and promote rapid growth with Ex Libris Alma and Primo

Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, announced that the University of Valencia, the University of Alicante, Jaume I University, and the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, all public universities in Valencia, Spain, have together selected the Ex Libris Alma library services platform and Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution. A consortium of public university libraries will be created, enabling the member institutions to have a shared catalog and to collaborate in areas such as acquisitions and staff training.

Continued growth of Shared Print: USMAI Libraries join the Eastern Academic Scholars' Trust

The Eastern Academic Scholars' Trust (EAST) is pleased to announce that twelve libraries within the University System of Maryland and Affiliated Institutions (USMAI) Library Consortium are joining the EAST shared print program. These libraries will join the Loyola - Notre Dame Library, a fellow USMAI member, which has been an EAST member since early 2017.
